Biker B*tch

Title: Biker B*tch
Series: Heaven’s Sinners #1
Author: Andie J. Christopher
Genre: MC Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Barclay Publicity
Publication Date: July 11th

My Rating: ✮ ✮ ✮

Skyler Clark knows she’ll have to face her past when returns to the Russian River Valley to make pinot noir. People in the small town where she grew up haven’t forgotten her father – a country doctor turned outlaw motorcycle club president – and his fall from grace. But as long as she keeps her own business squeaky clean and stays away from bikers, she’ll be fine.

Abner Travis sold his family’s vineyard and winery to build up his business. And he’s the president of a clean motorcycle club that does things the overburdened sheriff’s department can’t. He’s too busy making sculptures for Hollywood directors and quietly sabotaging meth labs to chase a woman. But now that Skyler’s all grown up, he wants her for his own. He just has to convince her that their dark, shared history shouldn’t get in the way.

Travis is the one thing Skyler can’t resist, but she doesn’t believe they can last. When her father’s old club puts Skyler’s business and safety at risk, she has to decide whether to place her trust in Travis or to walk away. And Travis has to decide how much he’ll give up to keep the woman he loves.

Warning: Contains a dead sexy biker who will pull on your pigtails, but only if you beg.

Skylar Clark left her small town years ago to attend college. She never thought she would be leaving feeling rejected and completely humiliated after her crush rejects her. ‘Travis’ has always felt a connection to Skylar but knew she deserved more than a small town biker, so he pushed her away until she couldn’t be pushed any further. Now years later Skylar is back after her best friend buy’s the vineyard that the Travis family once owned. She’s determined to make the winery a success again, but she’s soon to discover the one man she can’t get out of her head is adamant at rectifying the connection that had Travis pushing her away to begin with. He’s not scared to bring out the big guns and protect what is his from this moment on. Only Skylar refuses to fall victim to the charm that had her leaving town a broken-hearted mess.

Biker B*tch is the first novel I have read by author Andie J. Christopher. I really enjoyed the story this novel weaves, but i had an issue that was constantly getting in the way.

My first issue is the fact that this novel talks a lot about Issac, ‘Travis’ brother and a drug deal gone bad that led Skylar’s dad who is a doctor but also in an MC to end up in prison for life. The subject was danced around but I wish that situation could have been a prologue or something. It would have better defined this novel. Because of this I felt a gap in the novel.

another issue I had (this is really my own fault so don’t take this too much to mind) I’m used to reading outlaw MC novels. I expected this to be just like that, but this MC is different, they go around protecting their town from threats and running out all the drug dealers. I liked this concept but it made this novel seem a little less MC to me.

As for the characters, I really enjoyed Skylar and the fact that she didn’t fall to her knees and forgive ‘Travis’ for humiliating her all those years ago. I also loved the fact that she was a hard worker and adamant on getting the vineyard up and running. She was also strong coming back to ta town where she knew she wasn’t going to be welcomed to especially after her father had a hand in getting one of the golden son’s gunned down.

Overall, I did enjoy this novel. I loved the connection between Skylar and Travis, I loved the second chance feel to this novel and how in the beginning Travis was willing to do what he thought was the right thing instead of listening to his heart and forcing Skylar to stay like he wanted.

Honestly I am excited to see where this series is going and can’t wait for the next book. Even though I had a few issues with the story I was intrigued by the characters and the story line.

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
