The move to World Cup Academy of Gymnastics is the greatest challenge Adrianna has encountered. Punished for Coach Kova’s overwhelming desires, she’s reeling with resentment while she sits out the first meet of the season. As Adrianna fights to regain her focus, he pushes her body to the extreme, leaving her mentally and physically exhausted.

Kova underestimates Adrianna’s endurance, and gravitates more toward her, despite his internal battle raging within to stay away. They try to disentangle themselves, but the tension between coach and gymnast mounts, engulfing them both in a forbidden world of deception and passion.

The one place where they should never feel alive, is where they find complete absolution. But one slip, one wrong landing, a missed grip, and everything they built can come tumbling down, damaging both their professional and personal lives.

My mind has been blown!
I’m completely speechless by this ending.
In no way, shape, or form did I see that coming!

Execution is the second book in the Off Balance Series by Lucia Franco and is told in Adrianna Rossi’s point of view. It is highly critical that you read Balance before diving into Execution. This book picks up right where Balance left off.

Adrianna Rossi’s only goal is to make it to the olympics. When an Achilles injury and am overwhelmingly handsome and possessive coach is threatening to ruin her chances, Adrianna isn’t about to let anyone or anything stand in her way. She goes for what she wants, even if what she wants isn’t what’s good for her.

I decided to keep my about portion of this review simple for fear of giving away spoilers. If you all read my first review and/or the first book in the Off Balance series (Balance), you can probably and safely assume which direction Execution is heading in. But It’s better for you all to go into this one unknowing and completely blind.

Out of the first two books in the Off Balance series, Execution is my favorite for one reason and one reason only. I felt this book focused more on the gymnastics and less on the sex. Now don’t get me wrong with saying that, this book did have some saucy sexy time scenes, but I loved the dramatic events that wrapped around the gymnastics point of view even more.

Adrianna yet again finds herself in the clutches of her coach, but as I became further wrapped up in the second part of this series, I started to feel something different. I don’t know if this was what Lucia Franco was planning or not, but I felt Adrianna becoming more of a seductress and Kova was the one who was being seduced. It was an interesting turn of events given my dire love hate relationship for this man. I really enjoyed the fact that the tables turned on him and he was starting to lose control of the situation. I actually started to show a great deal of compassion for this man. He knew what he was doing was wrong, he seemed to have more of a soul and a conscious in this book. However, as soon as Kova starts to show me some redeeming qualities… BAM…. he goes and does something that legit puts him right back at the front of the douche canoe…..

Seriously, this man needs some lessons from Hayden on how to treat a lady!

The drama is high and the risks are higher throughout this book. Not only is there the typical drama with Kova and Adrianna, but we learn of some new dramatic events at the end of Execution. My jaw hit the floor. I was so wrapped up in the whirlwind romance of Adrianna and Kova, this new drama came out of absolutely nowhere! To say I was shocked would be a complete understatement!

And yet again, I feel like I’m rambling so I’m going to end this review by saying, If you are on the fence on whether or not to read Execution, Jump over that damn fence and pick this book up. Not only does it have moments that’ll make you laugh but it also has those tear worthy moments that I simply can’t get enough of. This book is also my favorite out of the two.

Be warned, both Balance and Execution are really long books but the description and detail Lucia Franco puts into, not only, the gymnastic point of view but also the emotions is uncanny and something that shouldn’t be overlooked and swept under the rug.

I really am starting to love Lucia Franco’s writing style. She has a way with capturing the attention of her readers with a simple paragraph and also capturing their hearts. My heart is fully wrapped up in Adrianna and Kova, It goes without saying that this series goes against all my morals, but when a heart is invested, there’s no going back. Also be warned, the cliffhanger will leave you in tears!
