Have you ever wondered what happens to two souls destined for each other before they even meet? Well, this is it…

Gavin had believed himself untouchable. There wasn’t an inch of his body that hadn’t been taught to eliminate any threat, both to himself and others, as a Navy SEAL. Not only had he been trained to be a warrior, but a strategist who could accomplish any mission that he was given…
Until the day he was blindsided by a brother with his own agenda and was forced to accept that everything he had believed in had been an illusion.
An illusion that he was capable of love.
An illusion of the woman who had kept him sane during his darkest days.
An illusion that The Last Riders would always have his back.

Now he was being forced to accept the man they had created. A man who didn’t care about anything or anyone, living a life without reason, joy, or peace. A soul so broken that it couldn’t be fixed, searching for the one reason to keep himself breathing.
How was he supposed to know it was a song?

I have been waiting for a long time for Gavin’s story and now it’s finally here!!!

Gavin’s Song is the first book in the Road To Salvation trilogy by Jamie Begley. This is also a spin off trilogy to The Last Rider’s Series. If you haven’t read The Last Rider’s series, I highly recommend you go ahead and do that before diving into Gavin’s Song. Because this is such an in depth novel, I’m going to avoid spoilers as much as I possibly can and skip the ‘about the book’ section.

But what I will tell you is, this is the beginning of Gavin and Ginny’s story. Both Ginny and Gavin’s beginnings are tragic and suspenseful. If you’ve read The Last Rider’s series you should know all the shit Gavin has been put through in the span of ten years. But for those that don’t know, it’s my job as a reviewer to express an importance that there are a few harsh trigger warnings.

Ginny’s story surprised me. I didn’t know what to expect from here, but I found that I really liked her during the earlier years. I loved her pick pocketing and bargaining skills at three years old! I laughed so freaking hard. She was too adorable for her own good.

As the novel progressed I started to really vibe with both Ginny and Gavin’s characters. I loved the strength that both characters showed, especially at their weakest moments. I have to admit, I dropped half a star because I wanted a tad bit more romance in this novel. But given the way the novel ended on the note that it did, I can’t wait for the next book. I’m already on the edge of my seat in anticipation for the moment Gavin and Ginny officially get together!!! I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to see a happily ever after play out as much as I want to see Ginny and Gavin’s! I CAN’T WAIT!!!
