Hello all and welcome back to another WWW Wednesday. If you are new, this is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week we answer the three W’s.
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?
I’m currently reading two novels. The first is Silver Tongued Devil by Lorelei James. Silver-Tongued Devil is the prequel to the Rough Riders series. If you love historical/western romances with an erotic twist, I highly recommend this one. I’m really enjoying this one!

Their love story sparked a brushfire that grew into the legacy of Lorelei James’s Rough Riders series. This standalone historical romance is a prequel to the McKay family saga.
The West doesn’t get much wilder than Silas McKay. He’s earned his cowboy reputation not just as a rancher, but as a brawling card sharp who’s short on cash but long on charm. And just as soon as he claps eyes on the pretty new schoolteacher? Well, Dinah Thompson is about to discover what courtin’s like McKay-style–sweet, hot and passionate.
Luckily, Dinah’s got the sass and sense to stand up to Silas’s shenanigans. She relocated to rural Wyoming to teach and become a self-reliant woman, not to spend her nights dreaming about that blue-eyed rogue and his ranchwork honed-body. But Silas McKay’s powerful appeal and tempting promises convince Dinah to recklessly go all in with him.
When Silas’s long-standing rivalry with Zeke West puts Dinah, Silas and his twin brother Jonas in danger, each one is forced to make difficult decisions about taking a chance to build their legacy . . . and a love that transcends time.
I’m also reading an advanced copy of Cocky Notes by Leesa Bow. I’m only a few chapters into this one and already I’m liking it. I’m intrigued to see where the story leads. Leesa Bow is a new to me author which sparks the intrigue just a little bit more. I can’t predict where she’ll take this novel. I love it!

Who thought writing ‘LOSERS’ on a menu could lead to an affair of love notes?
It didn’t start out as love. How could it when I vowed never to fall in love…
Reef Burton, the sexy blue-eyed football player, and his mates are definitely not ‘Losers’ yet writing it on a menu gave me reason to smile. Only it didn’t make it to the trash.
He returns to the restaurant where I work wearing his killer smile. I wasn’t to know those squiggly lines and arrows meant something. An offensive play his football team learned at an earlier training session. Coming here discussing the team plays over coffee helps… so he says.
He’ll see what I wrote. Apart from it being awkward the next time I serve him he could also report me to my boss.
I can’t lose my job when in hindsight I need two to pay all the bills rolling in, and to care for my invalid father.
I’m thankful he kept it as our secret.
Until he left me a note.
Responding will only lead to more trouble.
So when Mr Blue Eyes-Blond Surfy-Hair gives me one of his spine tingling looks, how can I resist?
*COCKY NOTES is set in Australia, and takes place before Cocky Bastard.
Since my last WWW Wednesday post I read six books. The first was Rich Prick by Tijan, It was great diving back into the Fallen Crest world! It’s amazing to find how much I actually missed the setting, the atmosphere, and the drama! I’m still currently working on my review for this one, it has been a struggle getting my feelings to paper. For now, just know, I loved this one!!!

He walked into school on his first day and owned it. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a prick, rich, and you’re best friends with the ruling school’s king. Also didn’t hurt he’s drop dead gorgeous.
That’s all fine. I mean, I have nothing to do with them. I’m a loner, invisible, and that’s how I wanted it to be.
I was even proud of it, until I wasn’t.
Until I saw a girl kneel before him. Until I couldn’t look away. Until he caught me watching.
His name is Blaise Devroe. My name is Aspen Monson. He only knew how to get, command, and demand attention. I knew how to do everything but that. And this is our story.
The second book I finished was Coach Long by K. Webster…. This book wasn’t even on my tbr… but as I was scrolling through amazon I found this one and the blurb intrigued me. I liked it but felt it needed more to push it up to a four star review. I rated it a 3 star. If you like the Coach/Athlete trope and are looking for a short read, you may just like this one. but for me, it needed a little bit more.

brat, it sparks an illicit attraction.
Together, they heat up the track with
longing and desire.
Everything about their chemistry is wrong.
So why does it feel so right?
She’s a hurdle in his way and, dear God does
he want to jump her.
Will she be worth the risk or
will he fall flat on his face?
The third book I finished was Dirty Cowboy by Erin Trejo. Dirty Cowboy is one of the many novels in Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Hero Club. I liked this one, but I didn’t love it. Yet again, I wanted and needed more from this novel. You can check out my full review here.

I was at the top of my game. I knew who I was and what direction my life was headed. I owned the most prestigious night clubs down the east coast yet I kept my identity a secret. I don’t like being in the lime light and my hometown was none of anyone’s business. However, making people happy was. I did that with my clubs. Until the day tragedy struck my family. I had a choice to make and it wasn’t an easy one.
At the end of the day, family always comes first. I went home to take care of my mom and the ranch. I didn’t plan on that little smart mouth Hope showing up with a laptop in hand. Just out of a cheating relationship the girl was hell bent on hating all men. Me included. Hating me wasn’t the only thing she came back home for. She needed a quiet place to write her next article. Her interest? The man that suddenly closed down all the upscale clubs on the east coast.
I wanted to be anonymous for a reason. I didn’t want the cameras and all the tabloids in mine or my family’s business. So, I don’t give her anything. Well, nothing she wants anyhow.
I give her the cowboy, the man that I’ve once again become with the dirty mouth. Until she learns the truth and wants to run with it. I should have known that a second chance at love wouldn’t happen for me. All fairy tales have to end, right?
The fourth book I finished was Hard Pass by Sara Ney. This was another one that I needed a bit more from. you can read my review here.

“Hard pass.”
That’s what the last girl I slept with said when she got her first sober glimpse of me. She laughed, walked out of my penthouse—and I never saw her again. It doesn’t matter that I’m a rich, professional athlete; what mattered was my face.
Beauty might only be skin deep for some—but I know better.
“Pay up.”
That’s what the last girl I spoke to said over the phone when I made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. Desperate to sell a set of rare baseball cards, she’s clever and entertaining. I’m instantly smitten, but nowhere ready to reveal myself. Thank god she has no idea who I am—or what I look like.
I’m a professional athlete–how hard can playing the love game be?
The fifth book I read and finished was Their Kingdom Come by Logan Fox…. Holy Crow…. this book is incredibly dark. This book definitely toes the line where my comfort levels are concerned. But through it all, I was so intrigued I couldn’t stop reading. I did however rate this book a three star rating. I liked it, but I needed a little more where the characters were concerned and less more of the gross out moments. I do have to say, Logan fox definitely knows how to tell a dark story…. My review will be up soon.

And the last book I read was an advanced copy of Their Will Be Done by Logan Fox. I liked this one a bit more than the first book in the series. Holy crow is this series a hell of a ride…. Literally… I’m still a bit shook up over the story line, I have mixed emotions but I rated this one a 3.5 star rating. It’s a hell of a ride for all those dark romance lovers.

Who knew within days of arriving at Saint Amos I’d land myself on the Brotherhood’s radar?
Not me.
Not them.
Possibly not even the Universe herself. (Of course she’s female – I’ve never met a man as ruthless as her)
The Brotherhood tried to get rid of me. It didn’t work.
They tried to get me on their side. I demanded proof.
I should be long gone. Instead, I can’t seem to get enough of their black hearts and dark psyches.
Now I have to prove them wrong.
Settle their fractured souls.
And maybe help them find their way back to the light.
Except…
They seem convinced I’ll be the one who’ll follow them…
Straight into the depths of Hell.

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
I had the same problem with writing my Rich Prick review. It was hard to describe my feelings for it. I’m glad we both liked it!
