Tell Me You Want Me, a standalone by Willow Winters  is now live!

BLURB:

I didn’t get to where I am by being nice.
I’m the boss, the CEO, the owner of whatever I want. Right now, that includes every person in this building of the company I just bought.
I stop at nothing once I’ve decided I’m taking something.
And then she showed up… full of spitfire just for me, the man she’s decided is her worst enemy.
Like I said, I stop at nothing once I’ve decided I’m taking something. This pretty little thing just moved to the top of my “must acquire” list.

Meet Willow Winters:

I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read romance novels and I read everything I could get my hands on. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?

I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have connected with so many readers.

And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my littles during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a reader and it motivates me to push through and keep writing.  I couldn’t be more grateful for this wonderful career.

My Review:

Tell Me You Want Me is the second book I’ve read by author Willow Winters and let’s face the facts, the book cover is what initially drew me in and made me want to read this book as soon as possible! HELLO SWEET CHEEKS! I usually don’t find myself reaching for workplace romance all that much anymore. In fact, it’s been a long time since I last picked up a workplace romance, but after reading the blurb and witnessing this sexy as sin cover, It was hard to say no to this one. We shall see if judging this book by it’s cover was worth it!

In My Own Words:

Tell Me You Want Me by Willow Winters is an enemies to lovers workplace romance told from both Adrian and Suzette’s point of views. Their story can be read as a standalone.

It started with a glance across the boardroom table. A glance filled with venom and ire, for Suzette knew exactly what Adrian planned on doing with her department. Rip it apart and sell off the pieces. But Suzette isn’t going to sit there and let that shit slide, if Adrian thinks he has one over on her, he’s in for a rude awakening. She was only going to his office to give him a piece of her mind, never in her wildest dreams would she ever imagine in the next few minutes having the wildest sex of her life… With the man who is trying to wreck and dismantle her whole world.

Adrian’s known in the business industry as being the most ruthless CEO. He’s known for buying and then dismantling companies where he sees fit. His ruthlessness is something that can’t be overlooked, nobody is safe from his wrath. Until he sets his sights on Suzette and completely loses all focus. His endgame may have changed, but his ruthlessness still stays the same.

My Thoughts:

I judged a book by its cover, and I got exactly what I expected from this novel. Holy Heatwave. Willow Winters started this novel off with a bang…. A literal bang!! Let it be a warning, if you only read clean romances, this may not be the book for you.

My thoughts about this book are all over the place, so bear with me while I get this out.
It has to be said, I’m not a huge fan of workplace/office romances. I don’t like the pompous lifestyle and the I’m richer than you ego that tends to take place within these novels. And to be frank, I was shocked as hell to find how much I really enjoyed Adrian’s character. I loved his tenacity and drive to make businesses better, at any cost. He comes in and he gets shit done. He looks at a business deal as just that, a business deal. He spares no feelings and he warrants no sympathy for those who had a helping hand of destroying said business. I loved Adrian’s character as a solo part of this novel.

I wasn’t too keen on Suzette’s character. I couldn’t grasp who she was as an individual. There would be moments when I loved her and then the very next I’m over here with raised eyebrows and mixed emotions. One minute she has a backbone and the very next minute she’s crumbling under her new CEO’s gaze. I wanted a little more resistance from her. I wanted that backbone throughout the whole book. And because of moments like this one, I had a hard time grasping the chemistry between Suzette and Adrian. The chemistry portion was a hot and cold game for me. Hot during the sexy as sin scenes and cold during the emotionally connected moments. I needed more from those moments.

And that’s why I decided to rate this one with a three star rating. I liked it, but didn’t love it. It should come as no surprise, Willow Winters definitely knows how to set kindles on fire with her smoldering sexy time scenes. I just needed a little more chemistry outside of the sexy times. I think the issue with chemistry comes down to the fast pace this novel had. Certain moments felt rushed. I needed a bit of a slow down between these two.

Overall, I liked this one but sadly it wasn’t a love for me…. and believe me when I say, I wanted to love this one…
