USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Meagan Brandy delivers a brand new standalone romance about a brooding bad boy and the girl who brings him to his knees.
Welcome to Brayshaw…
“You might want to sleep with one eye open.”
Those were the words whispered to the newest addition to the Brayshaw mansion.
The feisty, rebel blonde I might have overlooked had she not placed herself in front of me.
The second she did, something in me stirred, and I knew right then and there, I had to have her.
But our town is a twisted place, and no move is a simple as making it.
So it should come as no surprise when just as I decide to take what I want, I learn of a lie.
I lie too big to forgive.
The problem is, she’s now sleeping down the hall, and my control is running thin.
Hate to want you, Beauty…
My Review
This month I made it my mission to read through the book I have yet to read from Meagan Brandy’s published list. Next up on my list, Be My Brayshaw! It’s been a long time coming! A year or so back, I read the first three books in the Brayshaw series (Raven and Maddoc’s story). Although I planned to read Be My Brayshaw as soon as it released, I never got around to reading it… Until now and let’s just say, this Brayshaw can be my Captain any day of the week! I didn’t think I would love this book as much as I did. Let’s be honest, Raven will forever be my favorite Brayshaw Girl, there is no going back once you’ve read her story. Something happened to me along this journey of reading through Captain and Victoria’s story. I started to get invested in a way I once assumed I’d never be again.
It also has to be said, Captain may just be my favorite Brayshaw Boy this time around! This man is a resilient force. They say the deadliest of men are the silent ones who sit back and take in the entirety of a situation. I thought Maddoc was protective when it came to Raven, but that’s nothing when it comes to Captain and his daughter! This man has a fierce devotion for protecting the one person who means most to him. I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen when Zoey grows up and eventually goes out into the dating world…
Now onto the other star of this story, Victoria! I was pleasantly surprised by Victoria’s character and all the bits and pieces that make up her character. This woman has a lot going on in her mind, body, and soul. There were times I felt like crawling under my covers and not coming out until I knew she was going to get her happily ever after. My lord, this woman went through a lot in the name of love and family. I’m not going to say anymore where she is concerned due to giving away spoilers. Just know, this woman traveled down a broken road… and it got worse….. before it got better.
I’ve learned never to get comfortable when it comes down to reading a novel written by Meagan Brandy. She’s a professional when it comes to slinging out those unidentifiable curve balls. I love the way she weaves suspense through her novels. It’s slow build and then… BAM… it hits you out of nowhere. These Brayshaw Boys are crazy… and that’s all I’m going to say!
Overall, I’m in over my head with this new challenge of mine! I have a feeling I’m going to be feeling a serious book/author hangover when all is said and done. As for Be My Brayshaw, this may just be one of my favorites from her. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a single father romance and with all the dark vibes; it was a flawless combination!

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
I haven’t read this one. Honestly, it’s because Reign at Brayshaw got a little too crazy for me. Now I’m thinking I need to give this one a try.

Honestly, I think that is why it took me so long to read Be My Brayshaw. I didn’t know what to expect from the rest of this series. Captain and Victoria didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to see what you think of these two!
