Hello and welcome to The Staircase Reader book blog!
My name is Alecia, and this is my little corner of the romance world. Reading is my escape, and romance is where my heart resides. I’m not only a romance reader, but also a dog mom to an adorable Morkie pup (his name is Buster).

About The Staircase Reader:

When did I start my reading journey?
The first book/series I ever read that had a deep impact on my heart was The Landry Series by V.C. Andrews. I checked the book out of the library at 10 years old, and I’ve been obsessed with romance books from that moment and on. I’ve always had a passion for reading. I blame this obsession on my mama and my grams. They always had a book in their hand.

Why do I love the romance genre so much?
There is so much to love about this genre, from the many sub-genres to the many tropes. I’m a mood reader, and there hasn’t been a moment when I couldn’t satisfy that certain mood with a romance novel. Some days I want to read angst, while others I want all the laughs with romantic comedies.

Do I have a favorite author?
Of Course! In fact, the list is endless! Just to name a few authors I highly recommend to all that are new to romance: Brooke Montgomery and Lyra Parish for small town reads. Tijan for new adult reads. M. Robinson and S.C. Stephens for Angsty reads. Natasha Madison and Helena Hunting for sports (particularly Hockey) romance. Aurora Rose Reynolds and Katy Evans for Alpha-Heroes in Romance. Olivia Cunning, Sasha Marshall, and Kylie Scott for Rockstar Romance Novels. And the list goes on and on and on.

What is my main goal for The Staircase Reader book blog?
I started this blog eight years ago as a way to reach out to other readers who share similar reading interests. Through the years, I met some great readers and authors. My main goal for my book blog is to keep reading books and keep the conversation flowing!

A Few Fun Facts About Me:

Anything that allows me to put my creative spin on it, is a passion of mine.

I’m a gardner at heart! I was raised with a green thumb that I inherited from all sides of my family. I learned, at a very young age, the art of canning and I think that art has grown into an obsession…

I love all forms of Country music, but 90s and beyond is my absolute favorite. It’s the steel guitar.

I have a horrible fear of clowns. I blame my mama for this fear, who picks a clown theme for a baby’s nursery!?!

What more can I say, I’m just a Michigan Girl trying to live her best life.
