I’m excited to report I read nine books this month! It isn’t the ten I was hoping for, but it’s better than five!

So without further wait, here are the 9 books I read this past month!

ARC Reads:

Good as Gold Bless Your Heart (Valentine Texas Book 1)

Let’s start with Advanced Copies. The first finished book on my list is Good As Gold by Sarina Bowen! I loved every single thing about this book! Definitely a recommend to those who love romance. You can read my full review for Good As Gold here! I also finished Bless Your Heart by Lyra Parish! I have a feeling this is going to be a great series!! Check out my full review for Bless Your Heart here! On to the negatives. I did have a couple DNF reads. I decided I’m not going to really talk about them, because one day I may pick them back up and try my luck at reading them again. What I can say is, I wasn’t feeling the content. I have to be in the moment for certain romance tropes such as Office/Workplace romances and Dark Romances. And this month wasn’t the vibe for two ARCs…

eBook Reads:

Let it be known, I don’t have some weird kink where some of these titles are concerned (LOL). I do however, have a habit of reading snippet ads on facebook and getting sucked in to the point I have to 1-click the book. That is where Filthy Uncle To Go by S.C. Adams and Daddy’s Best Friend by Sofia T. Summers come in. I saw these books on Amazon, but passed them up due to title cringe. And here comes another However, facebook had other ideas and reeled me in with sneak peeks….. UGH! Just a weird little FYI. I liked both of these novels, but I didn’t love them… I think I needed a little more from the story and less from the sexy time scenes…

Aside from those two books, I also read Come With Me by Brooke Montgomery! Come with Me is a novella that introduces her new Sugarland Creek series. Honestly, I’m looking forward to reading this series! I have a feeling Brooke Montgomery is going to bring me to tears with this series!

I also finished Made For Romeo by Natasha Madison! I loved the crossover vibe! She definitely brought her A game with this one! You can read my review here!

Last, but certainly not least. We have Jewell by Jamie Begley! This series/spinoff series never grows old! As long as Jamie Begley keeps publishing books, I’ll be here eagerly awaiting each and every release! Jewell’s story surprised me. Having been a character that I didn’t really like in the books before, I found myself finishing her story and understanding why she was the way she was. This woman has been through the emotional wringer! You can check out my review here.

June 2023 Favorite Read:

I had two five star reads in June!

Good as Gold

Good as Gold by Sarina Bowen and Jewell by Jamie Begley both had me entranced from start to finish. I literally found myself hiding in the basement one moment and in the bathroom the very next in order to read, just one more chapter! These novels are both I highly recommend to readers’ who love romance!
